Sector momentum and incentives

Australia is investing in renewable hydrogen.

The Australian Government has established national policies, incentives and funding programs to help eligible renewable-hydrogen projects close cost gaps, scale production and develop markets. This supports the wider sector in which AEI is developing its patent-protected hydrogen technologies.

Hydrogen Production Tax Incentive

$2/kg

A refundable tax offset for each kilogram of eligible renewable hydrogen produced, available for up to 10 years per project for production from 1 July 2027 to 30 June 2040. The Australian Government estimated its Budget cost at $6.7 billion.

Eligibility matters. These are sector-wide programs—not funding awards to AEI. Programs are competitive, conditional and subject to change. The $2/kg incentive is not automatic: AEI and its projects would need to satisfy all applicable legislation and eligibility requirements. Nothing on this page guarantees funding, revenue or an investment return.

Program information checked against official sources on 10 September 2026.

Risk warning

Crowd-sourced funding is risky. Alternative Energy International Limited is an early-stage venture, and investment in ventures of this kind is speculative and carries high risks. You may lose your entire investment, and you should only invest an amount you can bear to lose without undue hardship. Even if the company is successful, the value of your investment and any return on it could be reduced if the company issues more shares. Your investment is unlikely to be liquid — you may not be able to sell your shares quickly, or at all. Under Australian CSF rules, retail investors can invest up to $10,000 in any one company in a 12-month period. Read the offer document carefully and seek independent financial advice before committing to any investment.

* Retail investor cap set by ASIC crowd-sourced funding rules.
