How the plant works
On-site solar generates clean, renewable electricity.
Electrolysis converts water into zero-emission hydrogen using renewable energy.
Compressed hydrogen is stored safely on-site and ready for immediate use.
Hydrogen flows directly to the ship refueling system for fast, reliable bunkering.
The concept
NEOM's green hydrogen plant — the largest in the world — is a US$8.4 billion facility producing up to 600 tonnes of green hydrogen per day, powered by around 4 GW of dedicated solar and wind. It proves the concept at planetary scale: renewable electricity plus water equals clean fuel.
Our Australian hydrogen production plant applies the identical concept — solar-powered electrolysis making green hydrogen on-site — at a scale sized to the ports, routes and fleets it serves. Deployable in months, not decades, and expandable one module at a time as demand grows.
Smaller footprint. Identical physics. Green hydrogen made with sunlight and water — no natural gas, no carbon capture, no compromises.
Our plant produces, compresses, and dispenses hydrogen at a single site — a fully integrated supply chain with no dependence on the grid, no transport leg, and no emissions, fuelling international shipping right at the berth.
Water and oxygen are the only byproducts of production.
Clean fuel for ships, tugs and port equipment.
Engineered safety systems with continuous monitoring.
A sustainable process using only water and sunlight.
Future-ready infrastructure that scales with the port.
Our on-site hydrogen solution ensures port operations never compete with the grid for power — no connections to build, no demand charges, no delays at the berth. Your fleet keeps moving.
Bunkering that extends zero-emission range across long coastal routes.
Zero tailpipe emissions — cleaner air around ports and harbours.
On-site production strips out fuel transport and grid costs.
Fast refueling keeps vessels, tugs and equipment working.
Hydrogen produced and stored on-site — a supply you control.
Future-ready infrastructure that grows with the port.
Green hydrogen demand is accelerating across shipping and industry.
Attractive economics and long-term value creation.
Proven expertise, technology, and execution.
Powering sustainable mobility on land and at sea.
Together, we can power a cleaner, stronger, prosperous future.
